Where to Cut Your Own Christmas Tree in the St. Louis Area
One of my favorite childhood memories was visiting the Christmas tree farm every holiday season with my family and cutting down our own fresh Christmas tree. We would bundle up and make the drive to Christmas Tree Valley (sadly no longer in business), full of excitement and anticipation. I remember feeling like I could get lost in the endless rows of pine trees. We would wander those rows, looking for the perfect tree to bring home and decorate. After we checked every last tree on the lot, and cut down the best one, dragged it up the hill, wrapped it up, and attached it to the roof of our car, we would visit Santa inside and grab some hot cocoa to warm up. It brings me such fond feelings just thinking about it. I knew when I had children that I wanted them to have this same magical holiday experience. So each year when Thanksgiving is over, we bundle up and head to our new favorite tree farm to cut down our perfect tree.
