Foristell Missouri Overview

Homes for sale in Foristell Missouri

Foristell is a quiet but growing city located in both St. Charles and Warren counties along the eastern side of the state of Missouri. Foristell is a next door neighbor to Wentzville, which is a city with just about every amenity someone would need, giving Foristell residents the benefits of being removed from the busyness yet close to every convenience.

Dating back to 1856, the city, which was then known as “Millville”, didn’t see much growth until the Civil War, when a mill and tobacco factory were built in this railroad town. The town changed its name in 1875 to honor a prominent resident named Pierre Foristell.

It wasn’t until 1979 that Foristell was officially incorporated as a village, and in 1989, it became a fourth-class city.

For those located within the boundaries of Wright City, the Wright City R-II School District operates one early childhood center, two elementary schools (K-1 and 2-5), one middle school and one high school.
